A Sheep, a Coin, and a Son

God’s View of Sinners

• He punishes sin.
  • Eden, flood, Rev. 21:8
• But then look at the efforts of the shepherd and the woman to retrieve the lost.
  • John 3:16; Rom. 5:6-10

The Son

• People are lost by choice.
• This time the father waited at home because the son had to make his own decision.
• He came to himself.
• Made the long journey home.
• The father welcomed him home.
